Neighborhood Events

South Cove residents love to get together with their neighbors. Not only does this happen regularly at the beach, the playground, and while playing tennis or pickle ball, the HOA hosts several annual events that brings the community together for fun and connection. 

Please join! Please volunteer to help when you can! Together we make these events fun for the whole neighborhood. Volunteer signups are sent out in the monthly newsletter and email notices.

SPRING CELEBRATION & EGG HUNT
This event is typically held the Saturday before Easter Sunday. It starts with a morning parade through the streets and ends in the Commons with refreshments, an Egg Hunt, and seed planting activities. Not to mention, a special appearance by the Spring Bunny that makes for fun picture taking!

SPRING CLEANUP WEEKEND
Every spring, the HOA brings in three large yard-waste dumpsters offering residents the opportunity to do a spring yard cleanup and offload any big and bulky yard waste, such as tree trimmings, bushes, and leaves. This is typically held on the 2nd or 3rd weekend of May.

JULY 4TH PARADE AND PICNIC
Our July 4th Celebration starts with a community parade through the streets and ends in the Commons filled with fun 'backyard' games for everyone, including a Dunk Tank! Hot dogs are grilled and served with snacks and beverages.

MOVIE AND MUSIC IN THE PARK
This is a new event created and managed by South Cove residents, and sponsored by the HOA. Look for details in the summer newsletters.

HALLOWEEN COSTUME CONTEST
Upload a photo of your kiddos in their Halloween costumes to our website to win a gift card prize. Age categories are  0-2, 3-5, 6-10, 11-16 and 17+. 

HALLOWEEN HOUSE DECORATION 
Decorate your house in your favorite style and upload a picture to our website to win a gift card prize.

ANNUAL MEMBER MEETING AND BALLOT SUBMISSION
The South Cove HOA Member Meeting is held annually on the second Tuesday in November. This is your opportunity as an HOA member to get first-hand reporting on all that your HOA dues pay for and to vote on the upcoming year's budget and incoming board members. Location and voting information are sent out in October by email notice.
