Last year's community garage sale was a big success, so
we're doing it again! The second annual Community Garage Sale will be held
Friday, Saturday and Sunday - September 17th, 18th, and 19th.
On the weekend of the sale, each resident can organize and
price his/her own merchandise and put all items out in the garage, driveway or
lawn so that customers can drive through the neighborhood and "shop 'til
they drop". The Homeowners Association will advertise the sale in the
local newspapers and provides garage sale signs around the neighborhood. Be
sure to take this opportunity to clean out your garage, get some good bargains,
and meet your neighbors!
This "South Cove Communicator" Newsletter arrives

for our "South Cove Announcements" e-mail service.

classified ads, and receive them sooner -- about once or twice a month!
To sign up for "South Cove Announcements" - just e-mail XXX and ask
to be added! (The subscriber list is private, and you can ask to be
removed anytime - so there is no risk.)
To make this neighborhood a nicer place, certain
"covenants" were adopted when the neighborhood was built. These
covenants were agreed upon by all homeowners as part of the process of
purchasing a home here. If neighbors bring a violation of covenants to
the attention of a member of the Homeowners Association board, we follow up and
try to get the situation corrected. This process typically
starts with phone calls and letters, and can eventually involve a daily
monetary fine levied until the situation is corrected. Lately, we have
received multiple complaints about boats and trailers being stored in
driveways, political signs in yards, and exterior remodeling or construction
conducted without approval by the Architectural Control Committee.
We've made it easier to learn about this
neighborhoods covenants. In
addition to reading the "Covenants and Restrictions" document you
received when you bought your house, you can visit the web site at www.southcove.net, click on "Homeowners
Association", then "Summary of Covenants." The
Homeowners Association page also has an "Official Documents and
Architectural Review Form" link that lets you read the full text of
official documents. In addition, those who have downloaded the free Adobe
Acrobat 3.0 viewer can actually print out fresh copies of the documents
exactly as they were originally typed and signed!
