HOA – March 2008 meeting
Julie called the meeting to order at 7:15pm.

Report (
· Landscaping paid up thru June
· 4th of July Event: We have paid ½ for the clowns
· 15 homes have yet paid dues – this is more than normal

o Next notice will tell them they are subject to interest charges
· Filed extension on taxes for 2007 to find a CPA after the big tax season rush
ACC Committee
· Outstanding issue with the Vannorman car has been resolved as the car has been removed
· Red car on the sidewalk on 191st has been there for months, blocking sidewalk
o Stuart to talk to homeowner
Rules Committee (June)
· 90 days after ACC approval, work needs to commence, unless Board allows an exception
o Carol the attorney to review the language
o Everyone all in favor
· There is a dog who runs loose in the park and outside of owner’s property, neighbor has brought issue to our attention and to neighbors attention
o We have a private park, we have rules, start letter chain – you are in violation of the covenants

Park / Landscaping Committee (Dawn)
· Dawn met with Rod and Signature Landscaping to walk thru park
· Sprinklers will go on at 10:30 pm at night as needed
· They will be blown out soon
· Fertilize twice a year
· Lawn mowing has started, will mow on Fridays
o Organic fertilizer program will allow them to only have to spot spray weeds
· Quote for trimming trees at entrances
o $784 including tax for two entrances
· Cottonwoods need to be looked at for health
o Dawn needs name of arborist to evaluate all trees with issues
· Group of trees south of the playground needs to be looked at for health, safety, etc.
· Quotes on mulching 188th from Pacific Topsoil
o Would be nice if we teamed up with Greenwood Point board for 1. Expense 2. Similar look on both sides of street
· Dawn met with Doris, the realtor
o Doris has ideas to beautify the neighborhood, how to pay for it, if we go to HOAs it a special assessment probably won’t work, do a big pride campaign from each homeowner for donations b/c a lot of people want to beautify the neighborhood, Sammamish Beach Club does better job of taking care of their yards
· Potty in the Park – controversial
o Not going to work because it has to be cleaned every week and the truck doesn’t have good access
o Needs to be chained up for vandalism
o Called Honey Bucket, clean, nice looking
o $100/month includes everything
o People who don’t want it really don’t want it

o Could really divide Southcove
o We could send out ballots to Southcove to get a vote
o Dawn has been asking people in the park what they think

o 191st mailbox almost falling over on a cul-de-sac, somebody banged into it
o Mark Southern has an extra mailbox in his crawlspace
o But this mailbox just needs a new base

o Most neighborhood mailboxes very dirty, should encourage homeowners to clean them
Beach and Tennis Courts
· Bring in new sand? It’s been two years
o Give the city or Save Lake Sammamish a call to find out what the deal is with sand
o If we should do it, we will vote on the price
· Steam Cleaners for tennis courts, Julie will research
SLSA – March 11th, Dawn to attend
Events

o Going to have an egg stuffing party – 2,000 eggs
· Red Herring - 4 guys, weekend after Labor Day, really booking up, we need to get on the calendar, regular fee $1200, south cove price $600, board unanimously approve
