SOUTH COVE BOARD MINUTES

January 17, 2006

At the home of Thomas Marquis

Board Members Present  Thomas Marquis, Rod Putney, Chad Hardisty,  Don Meyer, Windsor Lewis-Gloy, and Randy Uyeno

Meeting called to order at 7:05 PM by Thomas Marquis.

Minutes   Don read the October 2005 minutes; approved as read.

Treasurer’s Report  Windsor reported an account balance of $62,325.22. (Combination of savings & checking accounts)

Windsor also reported that 81% of the homeowner dues for 2005 have been collected. Windsor will send out reminder notices to all outstanding homeowners.

From the budget report for 2005 there is still $19,500.00 in planned allocations. The allocations include the following: Final Mailing / Speed Buoys / Park Drainage / and Park Entrances. After the final allocations the 2005 reserve will be $1,912.00.

Windsor inquired about a new tax accountant for 2006. The Board gave her approval to secure a new tax consultant.

Windsor reported that she had switched the South Cove account to another account with free banking.

A check from the AON class action settlement for $35.00 was received and deposited into our checking account. Thomas reported that a second settlement was still forthcoming.

Board Appointments and Members

• Rod Putney was nominated and accepted the position of president for the South Cove Homeowner Association   (Remaining on a year-to-year basis)
•  Chad Hardisty has accepted the position of Vice President  (2^nd of a 3 year term) 
• Windsor Lewis-Gloy accepted the position of Treasurer (Start of a 3 year term)
• Don Meyer accepted the position of Secretary   (Will complete 2006 with 4 years)
• Randy Yueno (Remaining on a year-to-year basis)
• Julie McDaniels  (2^nd of a 3 year term) 
• Sam Rosembalm  (2^nd of a 3 year term) 

The Board is still looking to fill two more Board positions                                                                                                                        

Committee Appointments:

Note: A committee member can be anyone from the South Cove community. The only requirement is that the committee chair must be a Board Member

• Architectural Control Committee - Sam Rosenbaum, Windsor Lewis-Gloy and Don Meyer
• Parks / Landscaping / Entrances – Pending
• Tennis Courts – Julie McDaniels
• Events Committee - Pending
• Government Affairs / SLSA - Chad Hardisty
• Rules Committee – Chad Hardisty, and Thomas Marquis as outside support
• Mailboxes: Don Meyer
• Newsletter and Website – Randy Yueno and Windsor Lewis-Gloy
• Welcome Committee – Windsor Lewis-Gloy and Chad Hardisty

Government Affairs / SLSA:

• Chad reported that SLSA is planning an Issaquah Annexation celebration for March 2.
• The next SLSA meeting is February 2^nd at the King County Library Senior Center @ 7 PM

New Business:

• Thomas reported that the existing roofing materials listed in the Rules document should be replaced with the materials mentioned on the web site.
• The next Board meeting should include discussions about community priorities, possibly another survey.
