4 "gold coins" for prize winning eggs
4 prizes--age appropriate
several large boxes for eggs to be returned
megaphone, whistle or horn
signs, stakes and tape to rope off areas
large coffee pot (50 cups)
generator or enough extension cords
doughnuts or other breakfast type snack
juice for children
utensils and paper goods as needed
THINGS THAT CAN BE DONE IN ADVANCE
1. Reserve bunny suit.
I've rented from Brocklind's in Bellevue, 455-4554, and Graight's in Renton, 226-2000. We use the "full suit, with head". You'll need size or height of bunny person.
2. Fill eggs with candy and "gold coin".
Costco has a good selection of candy and the best prices. It doesn't have to be "Easter" candy but it does need to be individually wrapped.
3. Get a prize for each age group.
Prizes can be anything you choose. Some past ideas have been: large chocolate bunnies; stuffed animals; gift certificates to McDonalds, Iss.Movie Theater; Zones, and Chuck E. Cheese.
4. Coffee pot and generator
These can be rented from AA Rentals just across 1-90 in Issaquah, 392-9200. It's a 24 hour rental so arrange for pick up late Friday afternoon and return Saturday.
5. Utensils and paper goods for refreshments.
Plastic table cloth, hot cups, napkins, spoons, cream & sugar, plates and utensils needed for snacks.
6. Signs, stakes and tape for park.
These can bought at Eagle. Wooden stakes and signs can be saved from year to year. Tape should be a bright color and waterproof.
7. Neighborhood announcements
Make up signs for mailbox centers about 2 weeks prior to hunt. Don't forget to use plastic protectors.
