The Board of Directors of the South Cove Homeowners Association would like to welcome you the South Cove neighborhood in Issaquah, Washington.

Once a farm, South Cove was developed by the Burnstead Construction Company in 1976. Now 288 families make their homes here, but South Cove provides much more than just a place to live. With a private park, tennis courts, beach, playground and special holiday events, South Cove is a close knit, friendly, and safe community, proud of the quality of life it has established.
South Cove's three acre, professionally landscaped park is for the exclusive use of the residents. It is easily accessible from all parts of the community, having four entrances. The park's amenities include two tennis courts, playground equipment, lots of space to play, paved paths for walking, picnic tables and park benches. The highlight of the park is our own piece of Lake Sammamish. We have 100 feet of sandy beach and an area roped for swimming. Please be advised there is no lifeguard on duty.
Your new community offers a number of activities that have become tradition over the years. Easter brings a parade to the park for an Egg Hunt complete with a visit from the Easter Bunny. Another parade takes place on July 4th with everyone dressed in red, white and blue. Bikes and tricycles are also decorated. Once at the park, there are activities for all ages: a tennis tournament, fun run, clowns, face painting, games, hot dogs and lemonade, and a dance to top off the day. Halloween is a big event, with hundreds of children trick-or-treating between about 5 and 8 pm. Many homes are decorated for Halloween, as well as for Fall and Easter. The most festive time for decorations, of course, is Christmas season, when you will see a brilliant display of lights that has become known throughout the area.
The South Cove Homeowners Association is governed by a board of directors consisting of nine members, each elected for a term of three years. Our Bylaws require that we have quarterly meetings of the Board, however, we usually have meetings each month. Our meetings rotate between Board member homes. All homeowners are welcome and encouraged to attend. In addition to enforcing the Bylaws and Covenants, the Board maintains the beach, parks, tennis courts and common areas. The Board also collects assessments, maintains the budget and directs the community activities.
We are governed by Covenants and Restrictions, which are supported by Rules and Regulations, which are provided to new residents as part of a "New Homeowners Packet" - and which are also linked from the Governing Documents link of this website.
